Users can access TraX via the Department of Defense (DoD) portal using their Common Access Card (CAC). This method of access ensures secure and authenticated login, which is essential for handling sensitive travel data and aligning with the security protocols established by the DoD.

The use of the CAC provides an additional layer of security through two-factor authentication, as it requires both something the user knows (their PIN) and something the user has (the physical CAC). This helps protect personal and organizational information from unauthorized access.

Other methods of access, such as public Wi-Fi networks, pose security risks and are generally not recommended for accessing sensitive government resources. Personal email logins may lack the necessary security measures required for sensitive data. Accessing the platform exclusively through a mobile application may limit user accessibility, as it does not accommodate the full range of devices or methods that the CAC-enabled portal provides.
